PGP is uncrackable, but it only encrypts single files. It also leaves 
a cleartext file on the hard disk once the file is unencrypted. This is 
bad.

There was a macintosh utility called SecureDrive that filled the bill. 
It used a large encrypted file to hold a 2048 bit hashed hard disk 
image, and alllowed the user to enter a passphrase to mount the 
cleartext disk image as a RAMdisk, i.e., something that would 
vanish if the power was pulled.

Perhaps a search for a PC version is in order. We would need full 
2048 bit encryption. The 128 bit ITAR compliant crap that the NSA 
pushes can be battered down with a beowulf cluster.
