Yes, we are certainly being conditioned to accept the worst.

I contribute my two cents worth to fellow employees and the public I deal
with.  And I discuss events with other listers on a local Anark list.

Today I had a relative send me an email with a couple of militaristic,
anti-Afghani "humourous" images that I found objectionable, to say the
least.  I told him I didn't find these funny and I explained why, but I'm
certain he feels I am just some lunatic leftie.

Did we have a meeting of the minds--I doubt it.  Will he send me further,
"humourous" tidbits--not likely.  I find it really hard to overlook such
racist bullshit, and to him I am sure I appear completely humourless and
uptight.
