Which was my point; both the serbs and evidently afghans wanted to be rid of
their oppressors but either lacked the will or the means to do so
unassisted.  When external states appled the necessary pressure, the
oppressors fell, with casualties far fewer than what people had predicted
for both the intervention, or if the oppressed had been left to their own
devices.  Yet in both instances, the left/anarchist cause'de jour was to
oppose the intervention.

Being worng twice is not a good thing; it makes us sound shrill.

I read somewhere today that there is no lesson in the second kick of a mule.
I understand that.
