Well, Erik, this cookbook was always intended to be a response to the
more infamous Anarchist Cookbook. Perhaps at one time the idea was to
represent what anarchists ate--I was going to include meat recipes that
had been sent in. However, it's now a project of our infoshop.

I get word this afternoon that Seattle anarchists are working on another
Anarchist Cookbook. I say, the more the merrier. Somebody can always do
an international one that includes meat.

Yeah, I think I got them. The meat recipes will go up on the website.

Hope it was good. ;-)

You should have seen the angry email I got from some Italians who were
concerned about the Southwest style spaghetti recipe that is going to be
included.

It depends.

Yes. I'm not willing to give up on eggs and dairy, although I prefer soy
milk to regular milk.

The discussion on pizza sent Tom and I to Pizzeria Uno last week for
lunch. I had "Four Cheese Pizza" which includes pesto. A favorite,
albeit from a chain.

INTERNATIONALISM IN PRACTICE

An American soldier in a hospital explained how he was wounded: He said,
"I was told that the way to tell a hostile Vietnamese from a friendly
Vietnamese was to shout ‘To hell with Ho Chi Minh!’ If he shoots, he’s
unfriendly. So I saw this dude and yelled ‘To hell with Ho Chi Minh!’
and he yelled back, ‘To hell with President Johnson!’ We were shaking
hands when a truck hit us."
