it never ceases to amaze me how effective capitalism is at turning
absolutely everything into a commodity.  i expect to soon see osama
action figures with every happy meal.

which might work if he can manage to stay on the loose for a while and
maybe knock over another big building or two.  if he can then get
himself martyred in some spectacular fashion (or maybe just disappear
and show up in 'sightings' from ecuador to indonesia?), he could
really become a BIG HITTER in the twenty-first century pantheon of
celebrity.  right up there with madonna and maybe brittany spears as
money makers.
