they did not even do that. What they said was that we
will hand him over to a neutral country if you show us
the evidence that he was involved. Now, if the US *did*
have evidence, why did they not let the Taliban see it?
That would have stopped the death and destruction in
Afghanistan... but, then again, obviously the whole thing
was, firstly, driven by geo-political and domestic
interests and, secondly, they did not have much convincing
proof.
