To clarify quickly, I didn't mean to extricate myself
from "left." And I've been reading about all this
since i was twelve, I know much of the world is angry.
I was referring purely to influencing Americans, who
sadly do not seem to realize that the American
institutions of power tend to piss off lots of people
in the world, hence allowing said Americans to see a
blatantly political attack as a simple attack from
amorphous Bush-invoked Evil. Unfortunately, one has to
convince americans otherwise if we want them to stop
supporting slaughter and oppression. Though I imagine
that much the rest of the world would rise up first
(fucking christ I hope someone does enough to end this
heavily armed corpse of a nation, from outside or from
within the borders), but still, might as well try and
get the people in the country to stop. Can't hurt, and
might help. 

And does "british culture" include scotland and wales?
