Oy, vey.   Americans *rescued* pizza from the dustbin of Italy after 
WWver2.0.   Italy stole the idea from the Greeks and simply added tomato 
sauce--which came from the Americas.

Now I will admit that some Americans believe we invented the stuff, but as 
this hystory notes, it came over with the Eye-ties themselves.   How can 
Americans ruin a food that is made by Italian-Americans?   Chicago-style 
pizza may be the food of the gods, if there are gods.

What's worng with Americans _improving_ on a product?   If you stay out of 
the chain-pizza places and stick with a heavily leavened dough and real 
cheeses, man, oh, man.  Can we really deny the wirld a product just because 
it can be mass-produced?
