If you have any insights into this question, please sned them to me and I'll forward them to her. Chuck0 ----- I'm assuming most of us have read the book 1984 by "George Orwell." In it, the character Emmanuel Goldstein is the "bad guy" that the Party uses to scare the general populace of Airstrip One into good behaviour. All bad deeds, all evil acts, are attributed to Goldstein, just as all goodness, intelligence, and bravery is attributed to Big Brother. Here is my question: was Emmanuel Goldstein named after Emma Goldman? I don't know much about Emma but the names are very close, and I haven't found info about this anywhere.
