Thanks for the article.

Since Mr Cohen did not honour me with an answer (unlike ze sprout, but we  
wouldn't think that's discriminating wymyn;)) ) - I suspect, though, he  
got his German names a bit tangled up and mixed Joschka Fischer with  
Joscha Schmierer - an ex-Maoist, party leader, too, who joined the Greens  
after dissolving his party. The initial idea, of course, was a bit  
different: infiltrating the Green Party and taking leadership, which they  
also tried with quite a number of citizens' initiatives against nuclear  
power back then. Unfortunately those party members to infiltrate the  
Greens as a party order came back with several (to them) new ideas about  
more democratic proceedings which - surprise, surprise - did some serious  
damage to the stout Maoist party.
Schmierer - nomen est omen, as we already said in the 70ies - now is a  
well-paid official in one of the German ministries held by the Greens.
