not really news.  i think it was called plan 'black' and presupposed a
conflict between imperial krautland and the u s of a, probably over
german interests in venuzuala, etc.  it also depended upon british
neutrality to allow the german fleet to transit the north atlantic
(plan required that several cruisers be actually TOWED behind other
capital ships because they lacked the range to cross the big pond).
there were several variations:  naval battle to take san juan (puerto
rico) to develop advanced base and then a 'punitive' attack on either
boston or new york to teach the yanks that germany was on the rise and
not to be fucked with.

it's a very thorough and comprehensive planning document produced by
the general staff in the late 90's and early 00's.  it was actually
implemented and pulled off by the muppets, i believe, in the 70's.

and don't scare me any more with talk of the un-mentionable one,
