"Middle-eastern anarchists" may be missing from
the dialogue on the anarchy list, but this is not
true of other anarchist discussion lists. A Palestinian
anarchist, resident in the Middle East, has, for
several years now, been one of the most prolific
participants in the Organise list ("for class struggle
anarchism"). I have had big disagreements with him
in the past (well like I said he is a prolific participant
in a list that I'm also on, and that almost gaurantees
getting into a big disagreement with me at some point)
but these disagreements were not about Palestine
or the Middle East.

At one point he and an Israeli anarchist on the Organise
list got into a heated disagreement. This was at least
partly about the very fact that the Israeli anarchist
_called himself_ an Israeli anarchist (thus appearing,
in Palestinian eyes, to legitimise the concept of "Israel").
But these were people who, in other ways, actually
agreed with each other on an awful lot of things.
