Subject: Re: origins of the original Maldoror

The book was not "of the same name" but was really called "Les chants de Maldoror", hence my referal to "songs". It was first published in 1868, which is far from the "18th century". The Comte de Lautr'eamont (Isodre Ducasse) lived from 1846 to 1870.

The surrealist were rather fond of him.

«La poésie doit être faite par tous.» is a line by him (Poetry should be made by everyone).

And from our beloved Daily-Bleed:
1870 -- French proto-surrealist Comte de Lautreamont dies.
LAUTREAMONT Isidore Ducasse, precursor of French surrealism, poet of outrage & terror. Daily Bleed Saint.

Glad to be of help but i'm sorry to announce that i have the change the 5/10 to a meager 3/10 because you claim to have some knowledge which in fact you don't have.

Be free to return in a couple of months, and don't forget to study.

Erik (the patronizing bastard-sprout)
