As it happens, with most of the Scottish lists, I was on them
_before_ Heather was. In the case of the class struggle anarchist
list anarcho-scots, Heather was invited to join because I had
suggested her for membership.

There are also various lists Heather is on and I'm not,
and vice versa.

It is true that I have had disagreements with Heather on many
lists. However, that was because I thought something she
had said was rubbish. She may have felt persecuted, but
I am an equal opportunity rubbisher. It makes no difference
to me if the person concerned describes themselves as
an anarchist, and it makes no difference to me if I know
them personally, if I think they have said something that
is rubbish, then I will say so.

However, it does have to be pointed out that Heather
can get very confused about just who she is arguing with.
For instance, on the Scots Debate list, there was an argument
about genetically modified foods. I didn't take part in that
argument, because (1) it is not something I have strong feelings
about one way or the other, and (2) I don't know enough
about the subject, and it is always a good idea to know
a bit about a subject before getting into an argument about
it. However, Heather had no such inhibitions. She got
into an argument with Dave MacLean, a capitalist/entrepreneur
who was born in Scotland but nowadays lives in Texas
and runs a radio station there. Now, Dave MacLean signs
his posts "Dave M.", or sometimes just "Dave". I sign
my posts "Dave Coull". Despite the obvious differences
in signature, style, opinions, and e-mail address, Heather
managed to get Dave MacLean confused with me.
After several posts in this exchange, she made it more
personal. She started telling Dave MacLean that
she knew all about him, through her very frequent
conversations with his wife. She later acknowledged
her mistake, but refused to apologise to either of us.

It is quite possible that some of the other times she has
felt "persecuted" by me were similar cases of Heather
getting it completely wrong !
