Unlike you, I don't have a Masters Degree in Philosophy. AND I don't speak Swedish, or even Latin. Lacking _your_ classically-trained mind, it is impossible for me to know which kinds of arguments are permissible under the rules of the Swedish Classically-Trained Debaters Society, and which are not. Besides, YOU had a go at me about me being Scottish, so this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black-arse. > busy adding amusing little insults to every post > he makes Like you do, you mean ? > Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you! Now _that_ is true. It is true that just pecause a persson is paranoid, that doesn't mean the state authorities are not out to get them. However, I personally am _not_ paranoid. Although it is quite possible that the British state police do indeed have records on me, these will probably relate mostly to activities quite a lot of years ago, when I was considerably younger than I am now. In my present condition of "semi-retirement", I doubt if they pay an excessive amount of attention to me nowadays. > (I'm telling you this as a friend: Prince Charles has instructed MI5 > to hide microphones in your underware. Merely being on an e-mail discussion list that I'm also on certainly doesn't make you a "friend". (2) Although he is indeed part of the ruling class, Prince Charles does not give direct instructions to MI5 . The connection between MI5 and Prince Charles is that every member of MI5 has to swear a loyalty oath with includes the words " I swear allegiance to Her Soveriegn Majesty Queen Elizabeth, and to her Heirs and Successors ". Charlie is, of course, number one "Heir and Successor". As has been shown on various occasions (for instance in the 1960s when Harold Wilson was Prime Minister) many members of MI5 take their loyalty oath seriously. If they perceive any conflict of loyalties between their allegiance to, on the one hand, "Her Soveriegn Majesty Queen Elizabeth and her Heirs and Successors " , and, on the other hand, the members of parliament or government, then allegiance to royalty comes first. For this reason, the involvement of Prince Charles and co. with the so-called "Countryside Alliance" demonstrates the essentially reactionary nature of that organisation. The UK is a state which fought a civil war between Parliament and Crown, and, in the unlikely event of any re-run, I think we could safely assume that most MI5 operatives would be with the Royalists.
