hey sprout,

Joacim's original assertion that he was making an 'epistemological
point whist Dave was engaged in 'ontological' debate was both
factually wrong and indicative of his tendency to use words he
apparently doesn't fully understand.  i like his now-famous dictum:
what you don't believe in (i.e. don't understand) doesn't exist.  bit
of a dicey proposition when applied to 'abstract' concepts like
gravity and such.  but i've enjoyed the show.

and in the weirder-than-usual category, my own local parliamentary
representative (mcDermott) just spent five days in baghdad criticizing
the bush administration.  i guess he thinks that the people's
democratic republic of seattle will return him to his seat no matter
what; or else he actually has a shred of integrity.
