Thanks, John.  Some of this I've already heard, but reinforcement is plumb
effective as a learning tool.

I guess Grandpa Nicolas know what he was doing when he brought the clan to
the new world and developed his "invisibility" project.  In my younker years
I had reservations about the wisdom of that -- that we were losing our
ethnic birthright.  But in the old country it looks like there ain't been
much changing.  Being "lower than the garbage" apparently don't elicit a
whole helluva lot of empathy from the world's do-gooders.  What the hell,
them Gypsys are used to looking out for theyselfs.  No big deal.
