Subject: the state of this list


thanks dave. you're the first person i've conversed
with on this list (i think out of 4 so far) that
hasn't come across as a complete arrogant and elitist
prick.

the reason i joined this list was to engage in
intelligent discussion because so many over on the
post-colonial list sit around in their academic towers
talking in abstracts with no ability to relate what
they're saying to real life and i figured this would
be a place where i could have that.

but until now everyone just comes across as 'oh, we're
anarchists and we're so cool that we treat everyone
like shit because the world treated us like shit.' get
over it, being rude to everyone will never change
anything.

as for the whole surprisingness of the US law on
jerusalem it wasn't that i thought anyone would be
surprised by it, least of all those on this list. i
was just curious as to what the reactions might be to
it on the list, but instead was attacked by carp in a
semantics battle. oh well. if trying to make others
feel dumb gets him off good for him. it's not
surprising about heather though. she comes off as
someone who lost her silver spoon anyway.


anyway, whatever. i'm out for now.
