Neither.

It would have been better not to discuss this on the anarchy list.

But  YOU  were the one who mentioned it.

As it happened, I did know a bit about your situation,
based on things you yourself had told me and Keri.
I honestly believed that what you had said on
the anarchy-list was a bit misleading.
If I was wrong, then perhaps we had misunderstood
what you'd told us.
I was not "lying".
