Leave it? Where to? There ain't no more wilderness no more. All the
continents are fully booked these days, so we can't even get in a
bathtub and sail off across the ocean.

Lots of programmers (I'm a programmer, so I'm allowed to say this)
prefer the strict rules of computing to the fuzziness of real people
with real emotions. Go figure.

I reckon most people active on lists & newsgroups have done something
like that at least once. I'm sure there's value in seeing it as one's
unconscious acting against one's rational mind.
