What a shock, Greg is still being boring and predictable. Whether or not something is funny is a matter of opinion. People laugh at different things. In my opinion, Andy had a "go" at us Scots, and what he had to say was really _funny_ . The way he credited me with a score draw - "Putting the insults into football [soccer] parlance, this would give us what is known as a score draw [England 1, Scotland 1]...something unlikely to ever happen in a real match..." was _funny_ . John Anderson also made an attempt at humour, and, in my opinion, it was an attempt which failed. John Anderson then suggested that I had failed to "get" his "joke". To which I responded >> I realised you were probably under the delusion that >> you had said something funny, but your attempt at humour >> depended on a complete mis-reading of Andy's message, >> and I thought that was worth being pointed out. In other words, I was saying that John Anderson didn't "get" Andy's (high quality) joke, and, although I "got" John Anderson's feeble attempt, it was best ignored. I ignored his "joke", but dealt with the real (not pretend) misunderstanding on which it was based. Dave C
