If it doesnt matter that Chomsky calls himself a
leftist (and he himself also expresses many affinities
with council communism which is certainly a leftist
current), then it surely shouldnt matter enough to
alienate a group of people (which will no doubt also
contain other similar minded people) and which you say
anarchism needs to survive, by waging a war on
"leftism."

'Distressed by some of anarchism's American avatars'
refers to people like John Zerzan as well as some
others. In fact, Zerzan has much less in common with
an anarchist like Chomsky than does any number of
'leftists' such as Pannekoek, Paul Mattick and
Castoriadis.
