I think that I should quote an old situationist saying 
to clarify this:

"Theory -- where you have ideas
Ideology -- where ideas have you"

In that sense, anarchism is not an ideology. I like to think
of it as being informed by scientific methodology, seeking to
develop itself based on new experiences and practices.
