they tried to instigate a discussion about our politics, and they showed
up with copies of their newspaper.  they were allowed to sit through the
meeting and told, more or less, that they'd be more welcome as part of the
umbrella group we're working with than as part of an explicitly
anti-authoritarian group, and that we had too much work to do between now
and the dnc to argue politics with them.  actually, a bunch of people got
up and left the room during this discussion.  we later discusssed perhaps
inviting our most nonsensical friends to the meeting to stay and discuss
the differences between our politics as a decoy while the rest of us left
the room to have the real meeting elsewhere.
