i've always sort of seen the left and right in terms
of the mass politics. you have nader on the far left
and bush & buchanan (or take your pick of any number
of other totalitarians) etc on the far right.

anarchists, of whom i'd place ppl like chomsky, i've
always sort of seen as existing outside of right and
left. but then number 1 that might not be right and
number 2 it's all just a bunch of labels anyway and
seem to facilitate arguments like i'm more anarchist
than you, you're a stalinite, you're not a real
anarchist, you're a leninist. at the end of the day
who really cares? is being placed in a compartment
with a label rwally that important. do we really care
what others think? chances are not one person on this
list completely agrees with another on this list about
what the true definition of anarchy is and then it
goes round and round about what it 'really' means.

i think these sorts of discussions avoid the real
problems and replace them with petty squabbles of who
should be placed where, when we should being seeing
how we can align ourselves toward a common goal in the
struggle for a better place in which to live.

but maybe that's just me. carry on.
