From: "Mark Waller" <malcontent-AT-ev1.net> Subject: RE: Why did the chicken... Date: Fri, 18 Jun 2004 10:09:38 -0500 The al jazeera report on the chicken seem consistent with reports provided by various coalition forces and their allies. If anyone chooses to diregard or disparage the al jazeera report about the chicken crossing incident, they clearly do so because of pre-existing biases against al jazeera, not because of the content of this report. According to my sources at Houston Indymedia, the whole episode sprung from a carefully planned act of nonviolent civil disobedience involving the Faluja Autonomous Fowl Collective (FAFC). Coalition 'authorities' were, of course, less than sympathetic. Mike Ruppert (From The Wilderness Publications, CopVCia.com) has documentation showing conclusively that the torture and killing of the chicken by US forces was premeditated, and that reports detailing the incident were intentionally allowed to fall into public hands in order to send a chilling effect on the entire avian community of occupied Iraq. One might conclude that in this regard, al jazeera may actually be assisting the agenda of the US forces. -m
