4 Aces in Bush Deck So Far; More Up Sleeve
Interesting developments now, in the wake of the official 9-11 Commission's
conclusion that there was no connection between Saddam and al Queda, and
continuing deterioration of support for the war, with the majority of
Americans having rejoined the rest of the world in believing that the Iraq
invasion was a bad idea:

"Russia warned the United States after the September 11, 2001 attacks that
Iraq's Saddam Hussein planned to hit targets on U.S. soil, Russian President
Vladimir Putin said Friday. Putin's remarks looked certain to help
President Bush, but officials at the State Department expressed bafflement,
saying they knew of no such information from Russia."

Meanwhile, another beheading provides Bush another opportunity to declare
that "America will not be intimidated by these kinds of extremist thugs"
(said with an excess of saliva). Par for the course, Bush attempts to shore
up support for the very policies that the CIA warned would increase
terrorism, rather than end it.

Elsewhere: Otto Reich, having been resurrected by Bush the Lesser from the
Reagan administration's Iran-Contra crime syndicate to serve as the top
Latin American diplomat, has resigned. Could this be the latest in the
series of resignations from the crumbling Bush regime predicted by Mike
Ruppert, or simply for "personal and financial reasons", as Reich had
previously indicated.

Water Cooler Betting Pool: What is the last Ace up Bush's sleeve? 1) Bin
Laden will be "captured", or his remains "discovered", 2) another Sept 11
takes place, this time - surprise - in October, or 3) a very specific
"credible threat" forces the "president" to declare martial law and cancel
the elections. I'm still down for choice 4) Bush ultimately takes a dive as
the ruling class puts Kerry in office and pretends to clean house.
