I read in the Guardian Weekly, that respectable
liberal journal, that there is legislation to bring
back military conscription before Congress and
expected to be passed. By the end of 2005.

And that the media is lying low on it because both
major parties want it.

Kerry, if elected, (according to the GW article) will
need conscription as much as Bush; as he also intends
to fight a long-term war in Iraq. His silence on the
conscription issue is evidence of this.

So.....(I ask especially the Americans on this
list)...is this true? I can get more detail from the
GW article. If true, why not more noise?
