we been livin' right, i guess.  we had our flooding a few weeks ago and we
were a disaster area also.  some folks had up to 5 or 6 feet of water in
their houses; some kids and some campers drowned.  but, we live on the
side of a mountain so the water just filled all the washes around the
house and ran off.  a little bit of the garden washed into the woods...
but, benjamin's shoe that the dog stole about 2 months ago and carried off
into the woods washed down the side of the mountain and landed beside my
car.  still in good shape, too!
but, then last week we were invaded by the wal-martians (wal-mart
stockholders here for their annual meeting).  actually, they bought up
half the campus for about 3 weeks to set up and we were all banned from
our parking lot so they could fill it with wal-mart trucks, wienermobiles,
a dunking booth, and eventually the wal-martians themselves.  halle berry
was here.  so, i took off a couple of days and we went camping at the
headwaters of the buffalo river.  beautiful!
