santa cruz is okay, Dave.  parts of the west coast are downright
civilized (for amerika).  and while the food is better and the beer
close, you will have to give up a lot of the fog, rain, mist, chill,
and gloomy weather.  not everyone is up to all that sun.  fortunately,
you're close to san francisco, and they haven't had sun since last
august.
