early analysis:  it's the culture wars, stupid.  the bushies rode to power 
on the strength of the deluded (those who still belive in the WMD) and the 
bigoted (all 11 anit-gay state provisions won).  exit polls listed "values" 
as the top priority of over 20% i think, well above iraq or the economy.  
moderate republicans stuck to bush like glue (he got a higher percentage of 
republican votes than fucking reagan).  a cynic would say they love power 
more than their country, but that's hardly an insult from my perspective.  
me too.

kulturekampf looms.  it's tough to look at one's neighbors and see potential 
concentration camp guards.  wonder if they've scheduled kristal nacht yet?  
and my brown shirt is in the laundry . . .
