I think I'll let someone else answer that, but I think Steve is right to first ask that this term be defined before we can evaluate its merits and/or limitations as a concept. > 2) What *concrete* examples are there of self-valorization? Do they suggest, as some have argued (e.g. Paolo > Virno and other advocates of "exodus") that the struggle against capital > and the state is more and more "outside and against" the latter, whereas > once (as at least some of us have argued) it was "inside and against"? When and where was the struggle primarily *inside* and against the state? BTW, since I don't recall anyone else mentioning it recently, I'd like to thank Steve not only for his moderating and the creation of this valuable space ... but for the thankless (until now), time-consuming, and important task of *translating*. On OPE-L, as Massimo remembers, we had a fairly lengthy discussion of a thread called: "A translator's life is not a happy one." Translating, like leafleting and postering, isn't a very glamorous task but is nonetheless an essential one (especially as it relates to furthering communication on this, very international, list). *Making* the time to translate, especially in the context of the following autovalorization, is quite remarkable. Oh, and while we're on the topic of autovalorization, please give Ginevrina a kiss for me. In solidarity, Jerry --- from list aut-op-sy-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
