Revisionism, (or historical revisionism) in this context, is talking
about revising history to say that the Holocaust (ie Nazi extermination
of the jews in particular) did not happen. In britain the main
revisionist historian is David Irving, whose public talks have been
guarded by C18, the thug wing with the British Movement.

Revisionism is, not surprisingly, usually touted by the right.
Bordigists are at the left-wing of Leninism. The term 'ultra leftist' is
usually a term of abuse that is applied to people who are more left-wing
than yourself (although I've described myself as an ultra-leftist
sometimes!), but if it means anything, is generally associated with
marxist groups very close to left-wing anarchism (ie anti-state,
anti-party, as well as anti-capitalist). So, to say the least, its a bit
of a contradiction that these Bordigists, and 'ultra-leftists' are
borrowing positions & analyses from the extreme right!

Part of the explanation for this, is that the bordigist current has been
highly critical of Anti-Fascism. It has poiinted out for instance that
anti-fascism was the ideology that integrated the revolutionaries of
Spain into the state in 1936, and also the workers of France into the
popular front, provided the ideological justification for world war 2,
and many other wars such as Falklands/Malvinas war, the war in northern
ireland (the IRA = national socialists = nazis, supposedly), and in the
Gulf (Saddam = Hitler, we were told).

Bordigists borrowing from pro-fascists is a bit like pro-censorship
feminists borrowing from the moral majority. Perhaps not expected,
highly regrettable, but kind of 'understandable' in retrospect.

This was going to be a short reply, but its gone on a bit! Two more
comments.

1	Most, bordigists, and post-bordigists aren't revisionists.
2	Its interesting that this thread hasn't crossed with the 'fascism &
anti-fascism' thread.
