Fellow Workers,

This is a typically dishonest letter from these grave-robbers,
beginning with its mischaracterization of FW Grant's earlier article on
Alewitz's efforts, which criticized him not for drawing upon the IWW's
legacy, but rather for twisting it beyond all recognition in his effort
to legitimate his own reformist politics. As FW Grant noted in his
article, Alewitz consistently seeks to disappear the IWW from his
accounts of our struggles, and misrepresents the views of those IWW
members he deigns to acknowledge.

His claim that the CIO or the Communist Party or other such outfits
somehow have at least as good a claim to the legacy of the IWW as those
who have actually stuck with the organization against enormous odds is
simply a more subtle variation of the 'the IWW disappeared in the
1920s' claims that the Centralia Mural Project folks have been putting out.

I would suggest that these fakers be put on notice that if they persist
in their misrepresentations and slanders against the IWW, that we have
the means and the will to shut their project down. Let these
descendants of the emplying class interests who gunned down FW Everett
turn once again to the cops to defend their mural from the working
class they so despise and abuse.
