Subject: AUT: Strategies etc.



It would seem strange that on a list orientated to the autonomous action of
working people, comes a contribution that argues instead for resurrecting
the old Leninist schema of a highly centralized party to combat capitalism.

Certainly things can be learnt from reading Lenin; indeed Lenin was often
able to make many useful contributions, but he was deeply suspicious of
independent (i.e. of his organization) working class action. The fine words
and phrases of "stae and Revolution" retreated qucikly before Bolsheivk
practice.

Finally, "Stalin was not bad..." One of the greatest tragedies of the
century took place long before the final collapse of the "Soviet" Union in
1991.
