The strike is over typical work rules ("class size, length of the school day, and number of hours of teaching time"). But one paragraph in particular caught my eye: If the strike continues, provincial authorities said, they will urge parents to educate their children at home using assignments and learning aids provided on the Internet. -------------------------------------------------- --------- Andy Oram O'Reilly & Associates, Inc. email: andyo-AT-oreilly.com <\CuD> -- web: http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill//Lobby/3909/ email: mrnobody-AT-geocities.com post: BM Makhno, London WC1N 3XX, UK --- from list aut-op-sy-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
