I ordered some stuff from AKPress and after several months
of non-delivery I queried, only to be told that there was no
record of my order, this despite two previous confirmations
of the order and an order number. I was advised to re-order,
which I've now done. Is this place run by anarchists or
what?

This post makes me wonder if anyone on the list knows
of an good independent bookseller online based in the
U.S.? preferably the east coast. Unfortunately where
i'm living right now there is nothing but "mega"
stores as far as booksellers.

I tried to order from left bank distribution webpage
recently but i think the page may be outdated. also ak
press doesn't have very good online catalog, although
i could probably just write to them and get a regular
catalog, i've hear they are very slow though... i been
ordering from a couple of places to stay away from
amazon and barnes and noble, but i've been looking for
mainly autonomedia and verso stuff and the stores i
have been dealing with don't seem to have that
stuff...
help much appreciated,
-Sean
