hi all

Firstly thanks to everyone who's written on the crisis theory stuff and also
about Oldham it's been very informative.

A brief reply to Harry:

I was thinking of the worldwide recession of 1990-92? Here in Australia the
federal treasurer called it 'the recession we had to have'. I was only 16 in
1990 and not terribly politically aware but I don't recall any big strikes
or suchlike happening in Australia or anyware else. Regarding Japan hasn't
it had zero or very low growth ever since the recession of the early 90s.

i might write more later if i get time and think of anything useful to say.

peter
