From: "commie00" <commie00-AT-yahoo.com> Subject: AUT: the anarchist / marxist divide Date: Sun, 24 Jun 2001 14:49:27 -0400 while i agree that it is silly for anarchists and (autonomist / left-communist) marxists to maintain activity divides, it is important to understand that there are and will be some differences theoretically because there are differences in some of the presuppositions. *and this is okay*. this is also true in the subdivisions on each side of this divide. what is important, i think, is bringing things together enough to create a unified communist theoretical behaviour and common ground of action... but, by being communist, it will and must necessarily be informed by differences as well as similarities. to start pretending that any of us have the absolute right answers period, no questions, would put us in the same boat as the leninists and their endless infighting and idiocies. we need to learn to accept (and even celebrate [without becoming either too rigid or too relativistic]) our differences so that common activity (both practical and theoretical) can continue in a comradely fashion. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
