Subject: AUT: the anarchist / marxist divide

while i agree that it is silly for anarchists and (autonomist /
left-communist) marxists to maintain activity divides, it is important to
understand that there are and will be some differences theoretically because
there are differences in some of the presuppositions. *and this is okay*.
this is also true in the subdivisions on each side of this divide. what is
important, i think, is bringing things together enough to create a unified
communist theoretical behaviour and common ground of action... but, by being
communist, it will and must necessarily be informed by differences as well
as similarities. to start pretending that any of us have the absolute right
answers period, no questions, would put us in the same boat as the leninists
and their endless infighting and idiocies. we need to learn to accept (and
even celebrate [without becoming either too rigid or too relativistic]) our
differences so that common activity (both practical and theoretical) can
continue in a comradely fashion.
