This is true but then the question becomes should the nation state be the
vehicle for struggle in the 21 St Century. And we also need to ask what has
the nation state actually accomplished for oppressed working class people,
in both the core/Western imperialist countries and the peripherial/former
colonies, not to mention the former Communist bloc countries?
