Date: Sun, 01 Jul 2001 11:33:06 -0700 From: Michael Pugliese <debsian-AT-pacbell.net> Subject: AUT: KLA At some point early in the ramp up to NATO intervention, I read that the faction of the KLA that originated in the Enver Hoxhaist 70's Pristina Univ. cadre, was purged, some violently. The website from the region that was KLA agit-prop, that had Maoist and Hoxhaite sloganizing went offline. See Chris Hedges article in the CFR rag, Foreign Affairs, for the background to KLA. Had both Hoxhaite and WWII SS Skanderbeg Division antecedents, as Hedges brings out there in Foreign Affairs. Also see book on Kosovo war by journalist, Tim Judah, published by Yale Univ. Press. Early Chapter on , "Homeland Calling, " the exiled apparatus of the Kosovars around, "The Snake, " Hashim Thaci of the KLA. Judah, also has an excellent book on Serbia, also from Yale, and is published regularly in the New York Review of Books and IWPR. Michael Pugliese P.S. Workers Liberty, the CPGB rag, Weekly Worker, and the US journal, New Politics, all had good material debating Kosova and the left. See their websites. --- from list aut-op-sy-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
