Hey there,

Michael forwarded your mail to me - you are almost certainly referring to
Robert Myers of Workers' Aid, who can be contacted at:
<bobmyers_wa-AT-hotmail.com>; a very decent comrade, one of many who survived
Healyism, which always gains my respect. Another comrade involved in the
project was Steve Myers, who can be contacted at: SMye5-AT-aol.com. Workers'
Aid was an interesting experiment in a class approach to the Balkans as an
alternative to imperialist intervention; however, WA had its staunch
opponents on the Left here, but I won't go into that. They made contact with
Bosnian, Kosovar and Serbian trade unionists throughout the Yugoslav wars.

One of the most notable groups of working class people they were in contact
with were the Kosovan Albanian Trepca miners, whom made the last organised
defence of Yugoslavia against the Milosevic counter-revolution in 1988.
Recently, when NATO troops attempted to enforce Milosevic's sell-off of the
complex to French and Italian businessmen, they staged a hunger strike and
put forward a call for international solidarity centred around certain
demand - workers' self-management, and suchlike.

 Hope that is of help.

 in solidarity,

 Owen
