Let's just say I find it hard to see someone beavering away at Law School or Business School or Med School as being proletarian and leave it at that. I don't really know where this debate can go.

The wage slaves are not owned by private capitalists. But like most
of the roads and public buildings they are part of the capital of the
capitalist class.

The work invested in the education system is not part of social wage,
but investment in reproduction and development of working power.

The work the teacher and the student invest in school work
is of the same quality of training for a job.

In a way, the class nature of a student is determined by the place
in the production relation / class relation s/he is prepared for.

Most of wage slaves of developed countries are not producing commodities....

Many of them - like the cops and PR people and many other bureaucrats
do not produce any value

In a way, the pupils in schools and the students are the most productive
people.

And it is not in contradiction with common sense either ;).
