The quote is inevitably more nuanced than i was suggesting, but i think the 
broad point stands:

"The so-called socialist societies are backward capitalist societies. In 
some of the socialist societies the processes of real subsumption has not 
yet been fully developed. There still exists a certain margin within which 
class struggle of a traditional kind can take place. Typical in this regard 
is the Polish case, and the comrades fighting there deserve our complete 
solidarity."
