From: "Jeff Seaman" <scratcher11-AT-hotmail.com> Subject: AUT: No evidence on Bin Laden Date: Thu, 20 Sep 2001 18:45:30 +0100 So far there has been no evidence, not even prima facie evidence, that Bin Laden was responsible for the terorist atrocity in the US. It would also seem to me that there is no evidence that the FBI's apparent claims that certain individual Arabs were the people that carried out the attacks. I doubt if they have, in the first place, recovered their bodies. Merely because certain Arabs were travelling on board the crashed jet planes is not evidence that they committed the act. Washington is assassinating its own system of justice. It is curious that these alleged terrorists and their cells should now be so identifiable. If FBI intelligence is this good then how come they were unable to anticipate the atrocity. The thanks the American working class get for supporting reactionary Bush in his position on the attacks is unemployment in the form of job lay offs in the aviation industry. If a war is launched by Bush and it goes on for many years as the Washington administration seems to be saying then will these same workers continue to support the war when taxes go along with increasing job losses and restrictions on their freedom. The aviation sector is using the damage done by terrorism as a pretext for cutting back and restructuring. Clearly the atrocity did adversely affect the industry --but not to the degree that 31, 000 jobs are to be lost by Boeing. Jeff --- from list aut-op-sy-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
