From: "commie00" <commie00-AT-yahoo.com> Subject: AUT: Re: Theory in search of practice? Date: Sun, 30 Sep 2001 23:55:58 -0400 heya scott i think i tried to deal with this all alittle more in-depth, but at the same time, this topic has been covered so much on this list it sometimes seems silly to re-cover the ground unless it seems anything new will come of it. as to anti-imperial (as opposed to anti-imperialist) activities in resisting this war (and all capitalist wars)... i think we're seeing that development right now. there hasn't been too much in the way of capitalist warfare on a large scale since these theories have really been developing in earnest the last two or three years (at least in the english-speaking world, to my knowledge), and so activities from this perspective are also only now being developed. as a final note, i'm uncomfortabel with the blanket term "anti-war" for the simple reason i'm all for class war, and think that the only way to acheive anything like a meaningful and lasting peace is thru the total destruction of class society. i'm sure most everyone basically agrees with this, but i think its important to emphasize it in our activites... no war but the class war!! =) --- from list aut-op-sy-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
