From: miychi <miyachi9-AT-gctv.ne.jp> About Cuba, and ex-USSR, or current China, I think, they can be defined as transitional state rather communism nor capitalism. We traditionally were thought that capitalism and communism are opposite each other and between them nothing exists. But in reality and theory, we can imagine transitional state between them, where class struggle continues, and commodity production remains, but ownership shifts to state or proletariat-collective. 20 century was worldwide transitional world, in which so-called communist state collapsed but global anti-capital social movement greatly emerged and third world liberation struggle leaded developed countries class struggle. And in past Hungary revolution, or Czech revolution happened in so-called East communist countries, Thus we experienced various revolution or resistance in three block areas. But we must recognize that we still never build socialism or communism. We merely saw transitional states toward socialism. Even commune is merely weapons of class struggle as Marx said. So Questioning whether Cuba is capitalist or socialist country is sterile. Marx himself clearly recognized such transitional state. In reality, In Cuba socialistic element and capitalistic elements both exists. --- from list aut-op-sy-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
