I doubt it. Mugabe's land reform benefits mostly rural folks and his own
goons. From what I gathered, Tahir is right to say that Mugabe sat on his
ass for twenty years, not doing much about land reform at all, and only
started moving on it when his goons became restless. What is disturbing
about this, besides the obvious violence, is that Mugabe was once playing to
England's tune on land reform, and stopped when the English didn't deliver
on promised funds; precisely the same sort of promises are floating about
the MDC now.
