really? why then were the USA and USSR so keen to get German scientists to 
work on their military research programmes after WW2? German weapons were 
generally superior to US, UK and USSR ones in WW2.

sections of US capital may have promoted the rise of modern protestant 
fundamentalism but it is a bit of a strecth to claim that all the diverse 
fundi groups agree with all aspects of current capitalist policies. it's not 
like their views on science are taken seriously in the scientific community 
so what's the actual problem for capital? and why should we care anyway?
