Don't worry. Most of the times I am not easily provoked. And
I was as you say the one being condescending, and
intentionally so.  I wanted to provoke, knowing I was stepping on
established truths among many of the people I otherwise tend
to agree a lot with. And, yes, I believe you have a few things to
learn yet, also from me, just as I am sure there is much you
could teach me.  However, many will also find your attitudes to
these things condescending, you know. Personally I believe a
bit of arrogance is needed at times to get things on the table, so
I don't mind as long as it does not turn into a never-ending and
viscious circle.

If you don't mind, I rather wait a day or two to reply to things
relating to the substance of our disagreement. With Steve
having "signed up," it could get interesting.
